Roles & Permissions
Zyrepha uses a role-based access control system to ensure users can only access the pages relevant to their job.
The 5 Roles
Your system currently has 5 distinct roles. More roles may be added in the future, and you will be notified via email or an in-app notification if this happens.
- Admin: The highest-level role. Has full access to all features, settings, and branches.
- BranchAdmin: Manages one or more assigned branches. Has most Admin privileges but is restricted to their assigned branches.
- StockManager: Manages inventory, suppliers, and stock levels.
- Cashier: Primarily operates the "New Sale" (POS) screen and manages customer-facing interactions.
- Accountant: A read-only role designed to view reports and financial data without being able to change it.
How Permissions Work
- Dynamic Sidebar: The sidebar in your app is dynamic. It automatically hides any links to pages you do not have permission to access.
- Secure Pages: If you try to visit a page you don't have access to (e.g., by using a direct link), you will be redirected to your dashboard. The page is never rendered, as your access is verified before the page loads.
- Stray Links: Any non-existent URLs are redirected to your dashboard (if logged in) or the homepage (if logged out).
